Why Ocean Quest?

Training PADI Divemasters takes a great deal of knowledge, experience and effort!  We make sure that Divemaster’s trained through Ocean Quest are the best in the industry!

Your PADI Divemaster Training will involve a combination of practical training experience - Internship and Role Playing

The Internship involves interning in a number confined and open water diving environments with actual students in a variety of PADI Programs including, Open Water, Continuing Education programs, and Experience programs where you will gain experience with actual students and divers.

There are, however, other considerations when looking at the internship option.  For example, if you are interning on an Open Water Course, the instructor who is conducting the course’s attention is inevitably going to be on the brand new Open Water Divers, and not on your performance.  This may result in the Divemaster receiving very little feedback from the Instructor.  When using the Internship option, our instructors make an extra effort to train divemaster candidates as they intern!

The Role Playing will centre around scenarios within your program where Divemaster Candidates play the role of student, Divemaster and sometimes even Instructor.  Similar to the internship option, you will role play in confined and open water diving environments, in Continuing Education programs, and Experience programs. By role playing scenarios, the Instructor can ensure you that you will gain experience in handling common problems and offer immediate feedback in your performance.

At Ocean Quest have a strong familiarity of how to effectively organize internships and role playing to ensure you get the best training available.
