PADI IDC Staff Instructor

As a PADI IDC Staff Instructor Candidate, you will learn how to be an integral part of PADI Instructor Development programs.  Only IDC Staff Instructors and PADI Course Directors can independently conduct the PADI Assistant Instructor program which is the first part of the PADI IDC.  PADI IDC Staff Instructors can also assist PADI Course Directors in the conduct of PADI IDC's and other instructor level programs by conducting presentations and evaluating candidates.

The IDC Staff Instructor program is conducted in several parts.  First, IDC Staff Instructors must complete a pre assessment demonstrating mastery of professional level dive theory, PADI standards, skills and teaching presentations (knowledge and confined).  Second, candidates will participate in IDC Staff Instructor Presentation’s learning about the standards and conduct of AI programs and IDC's as well as learning how to evaluate and counsel IDC candidates.  Finally, candidates will audit a complete IDC where they will gain experience in the conduct of AI and IDC programs and practice and hone their evaluation skills.
