What Is The Career Development Development Scuba Instructor Certificate?

We make the dream of having a Career in Diving come True!

Ocean Quest's Career Development Scuba Instructor certificate is a 7 month, full-time program specifically designed for those who are seeking a career in the diving industry. The CDSI program was put together to offer the most comprehensive PADI instructor training program available taking students through several PADI training programs and finishing with the PADI Instructor Development Course along with PADI Specialty Instructor ratings. It has evolved from over 25 years of experience training divers and PADI Instructors.

Aside from the basic training needed to become a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) Scuba Instructor, our CDSI program heightens your training with several programs that increase your exposure to various areas within the business of diving and provide you with additional instructor level training to make you one of the most qualified and skilled entry level instructors in the industry. In total, you will earn as many as 21 PADI diver level certifications, including two programs exclusive to Ocean Quest – Foundations of Diving and the PADI Wreck Penetration Distinctive Specialties.

We Accept Divers of Any Experience

You can join the CDSI program as a non-certified diver all the way to PADI Divemaster. The program will start with the PADI Open Water (learn to dive) certification. For certified divers we start with a review and begin to work on your professional level skills right from the first week of the program.

Upon completion of the program, you will complete your PADI Instructor Development Course and earn your PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification. You will also be qualified as an Emergency First Response Instructor and hold 8 PADI Specialty Instructor certifications. During the 7 month program, you will log at least 100 dives (you will have access to unlimited diving so the more the better!), earn a multitude of PADI certifications, participate in several workshops and gain practical experience with one of Canada’s busiest and most reputable dive centres!
