Course Overview
Ocean Quest has customized the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty program to take your diving to the next level!
Good buoyancy control is one of the most important skills a diver can master. It can also be one of the most challenging. The course will cover proper weighting, weight distribution and trim, streamlining and advanced finning techniques.
Improving your buoyancy will allow you to pursue more advanced training or dive more challenging and rewarding dive sites such as wall dives, wreck dives, deep dives, drift dives, etc.

We have a structured, customized the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty to help you master specific real word diving skills such as proper weighting, descents, ascents, advanced propulsion techniques, proper trim, creating a stable diving platform and more!
Prerequisites
- Open Water Diver/Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
- 12 years old
- Recent diving experience within 12 months. If you have not completed a dive within the past 12 months, please contact Ocean Quest prior to registering
Medical Statement
All students must complete a Medical Statement prior to any in water activities. Please consult Ocean Quest if you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions as you may need to see a physician prior to the course start date.

Price Includes:
- PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty eLearning
- 2 x Ocean Dives
- Small student to instructor ratio – to ensure the best experience possible, Ocean Quest commits to a ratio no larger than 3 students per 1 instructor
- All basic scuba equipment (regulator, BCD, tanks and weights)
What’s Needed?
- Drysuit – Rentals available for $75.00 – includes Undergarments, Hood, Boots and Gloves
- Dive Computer – Rentals available for $30.00
- Fins – Rentals available for $30.00
- SMB & Finger Spool – Available for purchase at Ocean Quest
- All of the above rentals can be purchased as Add-Ons through our online Course Registration
Price is based on minimum of two participants. On Demand Private Training is available for an additional $100. You can upgrade to private training on the course registration page.
On-Demand Course
This program is available on an individual basis. Register for your training online and pick "I would like to schedule my own class start date". Weekend and weekday schedules available. Once we receive your registration, Ocean Quest will be in touch to confirm that we can accommodate your training request and officially book your course.
