PADI Rescue Diver

Course Overview

The PADI Rescue Diver course is an important and crucial step in expanding a divers knowledge, confidence and experience. This course teaches you how to effectively perform in-water rescues, assist and manage diving accidents, as well as it teaches valuable self rescue skills. This course consists of four knowledge development topics, self rescue skills practice, 10 rescue exercises and two rescue scenarios.

Prerequisites

  • 12 Years Old
  • PADI Adventure / Advanced Open Water Certification
  • Emergency First Response (CPR / First Aid) training within the past 24 months- This program is offered in conjunction with the PADI Rescue Course.

Medical Statement

All students must complete a Medical Statement prior to any in water activities. Please consult Ocean Quest if you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions as you may need to see a physician prior to the course start date.

  • PADI Rescue Diver eLearning Code
  • 1 x Rescue Theory Session
  • 2 x Open Water Training Days (counts for 5 dives)
  • All basic scuba equipment (regulator, BCD, tanks and weights)

What’s needed?

  • Pocket Mask – $26.00 – Yours to keep!
  • Drysuit – Rentals available for $75.00 – includes undergarments, hood, boots and gloves (must have previous experience / training with drysuit use)
  • Dive Computer – Rentals available for $30.00
  • Compass – Rentals available for $15.00
  • Dive Light – Rentals available for $20.00
  • Fins – Rentals available for $30.00
  • Current First Aid / CPR Training within 24 months is required. Ocean Quest schedules the The Emergency First Response (EFR) concurrently with the PADI Rescue course for individuals who need CPR / First Aid training for an additional $159.99 (Based on 2 or more participants)
