About PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty
The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty program will teach you the essentials for nitrox diving. Nitrox allows you to extend your bottom time while staying within your “limits”. This popular course teaches you how to plan and conduct nitrox dives, analyze tanks, and enjoy the many benefits of nitrox.
The PADI Nitrox Specialty is non-diving and is one of the easiest specialties to complete. The program entails completing your eLearning at home then participating in a short 1.5 – 2 hour practical training session with one of our expert instructors at Ocean Quest.

Ocean Quest is the most active “nitrox” shop in Western Canada. Our staff are experts in nitrox and mixed gas diving and we have many active nitrox divers that dive through the shop.
While most dive centres will go through minimum requirements, the Ocean Quest Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course is customized to give you additional practical information and training beyond the basic outline to give you more confidence and understanding of the benefits of nitrox diving.
Prerequisites
- Open Water Diver/Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
- 12 years old
