Are you an Alumni PADI Instructor who is looking to get back into teaching status? Ocean Quest is here to assist you! Depending on how long it has been since you last renewed will determine what PADI will require you to do to become current. In the most extreme case, you will need to complete the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Program (OWSI). This is the last part of the IDC. in some cases you may also need to complete your Instructor Examination (IE). Ocean Quest has conducted many Instructor Updates over the past 25 years and we will make it easy for you!

In order to regain your PADI Instructor level you will need to complete the following:

• Renew your PADI Instructor Membership with PADI
• Complete the OWSI portion of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC)
• Attend the PADI Instructor Examination (IE) – This requirement is dependent on how long you have been inactive
• Current Medical Statement signed by a physician within the past 12 months
• Current CPR/First Aid training within the past 24 months. If your CPR/First Aid is out of date, participation in the Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor Course will meet this criteria

In order to welcome you back as a PADI Instructor, PADI offers alumni instructors the IDC eLearning and PADI IE program for no charge. This is valued at over $2200. In addition, there are other application fees that new instructor candidates need to pay which will also be waived.

The associated fees for the Instructor Update are:

• OWSI Only – $1295 – Attend the complete program for no additional charge (Reg. Price $1890)
• IDC Crew Pac Only – Includes updated teaching slates – $650
• IDC eLearning – No Charge ($1365 Value)
• PADI Instructor Examination – No Charge ($885 Value)
• PADI Annual Membership Dues – Contact PADI

Total Fees Payable to Ocean Quest – $1945 + GST
