The PADI Search and Recovery Diver Specialty will help you develop techniques to locate objects underwater. You will also learn and practice bringing heavy objects to the surface using a lift bag. This is a great program to help you develop new underwater skills.

At Ocean Quest we will emphasize your ability to maintain buoyancy, trim and awareness while task loaded with a variety Search and Recovery skills.

In this program you will learn and practice:

• A variety of underwater search techniques suitable to locate large and small objects
• Techniques on how to relocate objects from the surface
• How to tie a variety of knots underwater
• How to rig and use a lift bag

Prerequisites

• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• 12 years old
• Recent diving experience within 12 months. If you have not completed a dive within the past 12 months, please contact Ocean Quest prior to registering

Medical Statement

All students must complete a Medical Statement prior to any in water activities. Please consult Ocean Quest if you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions as you may need to see a physician prior to the course start date.
