PADI Self Reliant Diver Specialty

Course Overview

The PADI Self Reliant Diver Specialty course is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge to handle a variety of underwater problems independently. Although some may promote this as a “solo diving” course, the skills you learn in the PADI Self Reliant Specialty program can be applied to all of your dives with or without a buddy.

The Ocean Quest Difference…

In many ways, the PADI Self Reliant Diver Specialty course is a cross over course from recreational to technical diving as there are a lot of technical diving elements in the program. Ocean Quest has tremendous experience with both styles of diving and therefore incorporate many of the technical elements following the same protocols that would be used by experienced technical divers.

The Ocean Quest Self Reliant Diver Specialty will include many additional elements beyond the basic program. We have created our own custom knowledge presentation as add specific details to the open water dives to make them more valuable.
