Sidemount configuration is becoming more popular each year. As a PADI Sidemount Instructor you will be able to teach divers how to dive utilizing sidemount configuration.

We offer detailed instruction and advice on how to effectively dive sidemount that you will be able to pass on to your sidemount students.

Prerequisites:

• PADI Instructor, or currently participating in/completed an IDC/OWSI Program within the past 12 months. IDC/OWSI candidates may apply for Specialty Instructor certification only after successfully completing an IE
• PADI Sidemount Diver (or other qualifying certification)

Medical Statement

All students must complete a Medical Statement prior to any in water activities. Please consult Ocean Quest if you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions as you may need to see a physician prior to the course start date.

As a PADI Sidemount Instructor, it is expected that you will have your own equipment. Ocean Quest has a unique expertise in sidemount and technical diving equipment. If you are needing to purchase gear in preparation for the course, Ocean Quest staff will assist you with choosing the gear to best meet your needs. More importantly, we will ensure everything is set up and adjusted properly to ensure your move to sidemount configuration is a successful and rewarding experience!

There is a high expectation of sidemount diving knowledge, skills and experience to enroll in and ultimately succeed in passing the PADI Sidemount instructor program. Price is based on minimum of two participants. Private training is available for an additional $300. You can upgrade to private training on the course registration page.
