The PADI Tec 45 program is a large step from the PADI Tec 40 certification as divers can substantially increase their decompression obligations plus access depths that will increase the possibility of narcosis and gas density issues. It is recommended that you combine your PADI Tec 45 Instructor training with the PADI Tec Diver Trimix Instructor course so you can include trimix training in conjunction with the PADI Tec 45 program.

A Tec 45 Instructor is qualified to:

• Independently conduct and certify PADI Tec 45 Divers and PADI Tec 45 Trimix programs (additional qualifications required for PADI Tec 45 Trimix Instructor certification)

The Tec Instructor course consists of:

• Key concepts and standards from the PADI Tec 45 program
• Review of Workshops and Practical Applications related to the PADI Tec 45 Program
• Develops key technical diving skills to demonstration quality
• Reviews teaching techniques for knowledge development and in water sessions related to the PADI Tec 45 program
• Successfully complete the PADI Tec 45 Instructor Exam
• Assist with a PADI Tec 45 program

Throughout the program you will need to demonstrate familiarity and competence in PADI Tec 45 Knowledge and Skills

Prerequisites

To enroll in a PADI Tec 45 Instructor course, candidates must meet the following prerequisites:

• High level of technical diving skills and knowledge
• PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (or higher rating)
• PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty Instructor
• PADI Deep Diver Specialty Instructor
• 25 EANx dives deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
• Tec 45 Diver
• 10 decompression dives wearing full technical equipment

Medical Statement

All technical diving instructor candidate are required to provide a Diver Medical Statement signed by a physician within the past 12 months stating you are fit to dive
