Ocean Quest Course Transfer / Cancellation Policy

Ocean Quest strives to offer the best training available at all levels. To accomplish this, there is often a lot of pre-planning and logistics that occur prior to your course start date. This includes scheduling instructors based on group numbers, booking pool time, organizing equipment, etc.

Transfer Policy

  • Students may transfer to different course dates for no charge providing they transfer prior to 7 days of the start date of the course.
  • Transfers within the 7 days period will incur a $100 transfer fee.
  • Transfers after the course start date will incur a $200 transfer fee.

Cancellation Policy

  • eLearning Codes – eLearning Codes are purchased from PADI. As per PADI refund policy, eLearning Codes are non-refundable once they registered to the student.
  • Refunds are available to students if Ocean Quest is notified 7 days or more prior to the course start date (not including eLearning Code).
  • Cancellations within 7 days will be subject to a $200 cancelation fee (not including eLearning Code).
  • Cancellations after the course start date will be charged for the first weekend (the same as the Open Water Referral). This is due to the fact that we have hired instructors and booked pool time based on the student numbers.
  • Cancellation after ocean dives start are not eligible for a refund. This is due to the fact that we have hired instructors based on student numbers.

Basic Swimming and Comfort Required

  • Students are required to complete a 200 m Free Swim or 300 m Swim with Mask,
    Snorkel Fins plus a 10 minute float for the course. Please contact Ocean Quest if
    you feel you may have difficulty completing this requirement.
  • Individuals who do not meet the swimming requirement are not eligible for any
    refund.
  • If you are unable to meet the swimming requirement, you are welcome to transfer to
    another course once you feel you are able to successfully complete this requirement.
    A $100 transfer fee will apply.

Private Training / Private Groups / Youth Camps

  • As we have to book pool and instructors in advanced and base pricing on group
    size, there are no refunds for private training, private group or youth camps once
    the program as started.
