About TDI Trimix
TThe TDI Trimix course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing nitrox and/or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60 Metres/200 ft.
The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen/helium/nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases. Gas
mixes are not to have any less than 18 percent oxygen (O₂) and a minimum of 25% helium (He).
The Ocean Quest Difference…
Your TDI Trimix course will include training in handling and rotation of 3 Deco/Stage cylinders during one dive. These skills include use of a leash and bottle rotations. You will also learn and gain practical experience in planning and executing 2 technical dives in one day.
Prerequisites
- Minimum age 18.
- Minimum certification as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and TDI Decompression
Procedures Diver, or equivalent. - Provide proof of a minimum of 100 logged dives.
Medical Statement
All technical diving students are required to complete a Diver Medical Statement signed by a physician within the past 12 months stating you are fit to dive

Additional Notes
Students are required to possess a high level of buoyancy control while maintaining horizontal trim, advanced propulsion techniques including modified frog kicking, modified flutter kicking, helicopter turns and back finning. The ability to maintain a stable position in the water.
An Assessment is required for students entering the TDI Trimix Diver course with a qualifying prerequisite certification from another training organization. Contact Ocean Quest for more details.
